Orion's Belt

Happy Sunday, friends!
I hope that all of you are doing well.
Today marks the ninth day of being into the new year and I hope that you're sticking with whatever plans that you've made for yourself!
Personally, I've lost 9 pounds so far!
But that is not what today's post is about. No, today's post is all about Orion's Belt.
Well, not exactly...
See, the other night I was walking my dog, William, when I looked into the night sky and I could see Orion's belt as clear as anything. It truly made me stop in my tracks. Not only was I simply amazed by its beauty, I was also surprised by how... insignificant I felt.
But, not insignificant in a bad way. More like... there was and is something out there that is so much bigger than we are and so much older than we could ever imagine. And yet, even with that being there, there are some of us that wake up dreading the next day. Dreading going to work. Dreading being around certain people. Dreading something in their life. And friends, life is too short for that.
This is one of the reasons why I've decided to change my mindset and go on this "self-development" route that I am on. My life, ultimately, is short. And it is up to me to make the best life that I can possibly make. Not just for me and for my family but also for those around me.
It is time to stop letting your mind hold you back. I totally understand the fear. Your brain is only trying to keep you protected, but, by doing so you could and most likely are missing out on so much.
So, my friends, what are you deciding to do or to stop doing? Start small. Take a cold shower. I was personally amazed at my own mental resilience to taking a cold shower. But I did it. And I continue to do it. I do it to keep pushing my mental boundaries so that I can push on the bigger and harder things.
You got this, friends, I believe in you.
All the best,
Stevon
