Well, friends, we made it!
Happy 2022. Anyone else excited for the HBO Harry Potter reunion?! No, just me?
Well, before we discuss Harry Potter, I think we should really look at these things called "New Year Resolutions".
I know, I know. These are the things that we make and break every year. Perhaps you've even given up on making them at all. But, bear with me here, and let's talk about this.
Look back at your 2021. Did things happen the way you wanted? Did you achieve all of the things that you wanted? I know I sure didn't and that is why 2022 is truly going to be my year and I am willing to be transparent and have you hold me accountable.
I have my life divided into 10 categories: Career, Financial, Parenting, Character, Spiritual, Love Relationships, Health & Fitness, Social, Intellectual, and Emotional.
I take these categories and I think of the goals that I want to achieve this year inside of each one of them. These are detailed and measurable goals that can be tracked. Tracking is important, in my opinion. The way that you eat an entire cake is a bite at a time and the way that you accomplish your goals for this year is one step at a time. One step that you can take in every area that eventually becomes a habit that propels you to the completion of the goal.
Let me show you one of mine:
Career: I've come to acknowledge that I feel like a round peg that is trying to fit inside a square block hole. I've also come to acknowledge, especially this year, that I thrive at working from home. I've set a career goal of this year to have my own paralegal company where I work as a 1099 paralegal for attorneys. By the end of 2022 I would like to have my full income come from this business. Breaking this down into quarterly, monthly, weekly, and even daily tasks that I can take is going to assist me in making this a possibility.
What I've also done with my 10 categories is created a theme that wraps them all together in a pretty bow. My theme for this year is Abundance. Everything that I do, think, achieve, and create will be in abundance. I've seen other themes such as peace, faith, and calmness.
If you want to dive even deeper into this topic, I have two podcasts that I would like to turn you to:
<3 https://robdial.com/podcast/ <-- look for the one that says "Planning Out Your New Year's Resolutions".
Thank you for reading along, friends. I hope that you actually achieve everything that you want to in this amazing year.
Best,
-Stevon
